sailing results

Here you can se the results from Club races at Bristol Corinthian.

At the open meetings and the regattas I attend, we race; below are the results achieved.

At each of the Supernova events I attend, the individual results are taken and the scores used to produce an 'overall' position. This is called the travellers series.

West Oxfordshire Sailing Club:
Saturday 13th March 2004;
Class Training day:

Very informative and a huge success. My performance was OK, but struggled in the strong winds. Pictures

Black Swan Sailing Club:
Saturday 27th March 2004;
Travellers Trophy event.

It was damp, the wind was nonexistent, but Black Swan did us proud. 3 Races, constant place changes, frustrating.

Travellers Trophy event.

Once again a no/light wind event. I did much better this time. 3 races, close racing and a huge amount of luck involved.

Roadford Lake Sailing Club:
Sunday 30th & Monday 31st May 2004;
Bank Holiday handicap open meeting.

Shame it was a bit of a low turn out but great fun, generally windy and great racing. It is lovely to camp and launch youyr boat from the same field, although a bit of a long walk at the moment with the tide being so low!

Llangorse Lake - Flying Fifteen Classic open:
Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th June 2004;
Crewing for a mate.

Had a fantastic sail in the Classic Fleet, competition was tight and winds were very good. We did very well and came second, 1st was the current Classic World Champion!

Fantastic weekend. Sailing on the sea at last. Made to feel very welcome by the host club, sailed on brilliant reverse P courses, out to sea in clear wind.

Severn Sailing club:
Sat 18th Sept. 2004;
Travellers Trophy Event.

A very interesting sail. A narrow river, gusty shifty winds ended in me tacking every 15 seconds upwind in race 1. race 2 & 3 the wind shifted resulting in a reach up and down the river.
